RE: New plant,,,now what?

Thanks, everyone, for your input on the lithodora and helleborus. I
planted the helleborus in the spot I had originally planned, and mixed
some lime in the soil underneath. Gene, I'll plan to mulch it better
once it seems to be settled in. Glad to hear it's not really picky
about pH!

As for the lithodora...it's interesting that Susan in Oregon said it
blooms a long time, but for Kris in California, it doesn't bloom very
long. Do you suppose it's related to rainfall or heat? Also, it hasn't
overwintered for Ginny in Pennsylvania, but does for Gene in Indiana!
That one doesn't make much sense, does it? I'll keep my fingers
crossed; I have it in a raised bed with wonderful soil (tons of
compost). So the proverbial "moist well-drained soil" is there.

I'll have to check on the anagallis; since this is the first year for
the renovated bed, I'm sure I'll have some spaces to fill in with
annuals!

Thanks again, all. What a great bunch of folks!
