I just received the 1999 listing of plants for my favorite nursery here in
Wisconsin - the Flower Factory, 4062 Highway A, Stoughton, WI. If any of you are
in striking distance, I recommend it. It may be difficult to find, so if you go,
ask me for directions or get a map from the 'net. (It's actually closer to
Oregon, WI).
Over 3,200 varieties of perennials grown on site - 23 greenhouses and 12 shade
houses on 12 acres -- and they keep adding more (true addicts!) Two new water
gardens and something new to me: a sand garden which is apparently a big pile of
sand shaped and formed and planted to alpine plants. I can't wait for their
opening day on April 24 to see this.
