Hi, Anelle:
I keep a journal which is a spiral notebook with loose sheets of lined paper.
Also, I keep plant tags from purchases. I write only occasionally in the
journal - perhaps every month throughout the season - but refer to it often a
year later and onwards as what I think I'll remember I don't at all. ;-P I
also reflect the year's weather and any thoughts I might have about future
planning/planting plus sketch (poorly) any ideas or changes. I use the
right-hand pages for text and the left for taping in pix or plant
tags. Seems to work so far and because it has a vinyl cover, I can take it
into the garden even on drizzly days and the dirt wipes off easily. What I
like about the spiral loose-leaf notebook is I can insert more pages when
necessary, even a year later.
The photos I take are kept in a shoebox sorta thing made just for photo
storage and is found in linen and dept. stores, etc., and has dividers which
I use for each year and I usually take shots about 3 times over the season of
problem areas or as reminders of areas to work on the design, etc. They're
inexpensive.
Can't wait to hear other's methods.
