Re: Peony Shimanishiki Redux


Don - I was the one with the all red Shimanishiki peony. It did not have
any white anywhere, and the petals were a bit different in shape I would
say: more cup shaped.  Anyway, the nursery refunded my money without my
asking.  When they originally said "Wait for more growth" the only thing
I could think of was if the tree peony graft had been bypassed by the
herbaceous root system somehow.  But I dont think it would really work
that way. So I guess I can plant another this fall, beside my all red
one.  I do have a picture but don't want to send it to the list.

Thanks for your nice pictures.  I see what you mean about being
variable.
