I planted some slate blue Hellebores from seed last year
(bought them from Chiltern Seeds who do have a website).
They germinated, I planted them out in the garden. I didn't
know much about Hellebores at the time, but even with my
limited knowledge I thought they were a funny leaf for a
Hellebore - a bit small. Anyway, I put them at the back of
the border where they could eventually flower - other things
would not be growing in the winter so it would be easy to
see the flower, I thought. Well they've just started
flowering - I had got my labels muddled up and what I have
is a Sempervivum! And it's very hard to see them behind the
foxgloves, Lunaria, Geraniums etc.
