Re: Perennials In High Temps/Humidity

Marge, the first thing I do when I get interested in something is acquire
books on the subject. And I keep on acquiring anything I can afford that
strikes my fancy.

As I think I said, I've been in Baltimore in the summer, and although it
isn't nearly as bad as Alabama, it does leave me wondering how human beings
can survive in such a climate.

I I have identified Cornus canadensis correctly, it grows wild here-in spots
almost rampantly. I have not tried growing Alchemilla alpina, largely
because I've never seen it offered for sale. A. mollis does very well
though. Our humidity is something that people from other parts of Canada
complain about when they come here in the summer, but compared to yours it's
like the Sahara in the middle of a drought.
