I noticed from our tv coverage over here, that Knautia
Macedonica is featured quite prominently in the garden that
won Best in Show. This garden was designed by two
gardeners, one of whom is the Dutch designer Piet Oudolf.
When I started to do my garden three years ago, it was
reading a magazine article about him that inspired a lot of
my planting (ironically in the magazine Garden's
Illustrated, who were his sponsors for the garden at
Chelsea - AND they said they started to plan their Chelsea
garden three years ago).
Anyone on the list been to Chelsea yet, and got reports for
us? I know some of you probably won't be back at your
computers yet, but I would love to know if there were any
plants that grabbed you.
