Ah, but Val, you have to get them into the traps first! "Our" armadillo
didn't seem to be interested in anything we offered, or else the food supply
in the garden was plentiful enough to keep him occupied.
You can't imagine what a mess they can make. (and our cat didn't make a
very good watchdog). I know other people around here have complained about
them, but this was our first experience with them. I've been told that they
tend to adopt a territory and remain there, but I've also been told if you
destroy their den, they'll relocate. Sure hope it's the latter!
Any of the Texas folks on the list have any experience/suggestions for
dealing with this gopher-in-a-can?
Nancy Lowe
Arkansas, zone 7 armadillo-free (at least at present)
