The creatures have moved into south Missouri and you are right, they are
terribly destructive. The only solution we have found is to shoot them. I
don't do it personally but feel like I might could if I ever caught one
digging up my plants and destroying my beds. It is maddening. However, I
leave that to my husband who seems to have no qualms about it. The
conservation department here says it is okay and we have gotten rid of
several. Other than that, there seems to be no one who has a solution that
I have found.
