Hmmm....

This does sort of remind me of my mother toward me too. And now that I'm
solidly an adult (I'm 41 y.o. by gosh!), I find it amazing that she could
treat you
that way, and yet, with my mother, I think it's kind of a generational
attitude that
you always know better than your kids and can always treat them like kids or

something.  Even when they're 40 years old!  I'd be careful of pulling a
dandelion
from even a friend's garden.

Aren't their a couple hundred self-help titles about this situation?  But,
my mother
doesn't read self-help titles either....

I do have some neighbor's up the street who come walking through my gardens
like they own the place, sometimes even bringing guests. While I sometimes
wish they'd
"knock first", or call ahead or something, they're very generous with their
compliments,
and they never pull anything!
