Same situation here. Fortunately the "Oooh" comments outnumber the "Hmmm"
comments. For the lawn-lovers, at least the ones who seem reasonable, I
point out to them that I spend a lot less time deadheading perennials than
they spend mowing and weed-be-gone-ing their lawn. Of course, my unspoken
thought is, "and NOBODY ever stops at your house to say 'My, what pretty
grass.'" ;-)
