Re: Weeding, in theory


Well, Janet, you're much more patient than I'd be...and
understanding.  I'd yell first and think about it later:-)

Sounds like a bit of a power struggle here....but this is your garden
and you get to call the shots IMO, mother or no mother.  

If you want to be nice about it, just tell her she can't weed anymore
until she actually learns which plants are weeds and which are
valuable perennials.

Luckily I don't have any "help".  Sometimes wish for it, but then I
think about the dangers involved when those who don't know a weed
from a stake 'help' you.  Also, wouldn't trust even my Mom, who's
been gardening longer than I have, to prune anything in my garden.

Are the poor Disporum salvageable?  Lordy, what a lovely plant to
weed out...you have my deepest sympathy.
