Verbena bonariensis

Hi everyone,

I'm back among the living...and I know this is an "old topic" but since when
did that keep me from putting in my two cents?!

Wanted to comment on the above plant. I adore this plant as Valerie does
and had grown in on the north side of my property (mostly sun) successfully
with a few seedlings to share with friends. To add to this plant's allure,
the titmice were crazy about the seeds and came in droves in late summer.

Then I added it to the front bed, which is sloped, west facing (hot and
dry). In one year it was ready to take over the planet. I am still waging
war on the seedlings, although less this year than the last two.

The moral of the story for me is to try "invasive" plants in less than ideal
conditions and perhaps they will stay more tame? Might be worth a try...
