Re: Chipper-shredder


We that had our trusty Sears Chipper Shredder for 7 years. I think it is
a 10HP and I wouldn't get any smaller..you need the power!  Had only one
tune up and we use it frequently, especially in the spring.
It was about $700. back then, is gas powered and all I can say about it
is to buy several of the rubber belts ahead of time to keep on hand. 
Nothing ruins a chipping day like a broken belt and a trip to \Sears on
a busy saturday.
I also use it for compost mixing, taking well aged kitchen compost,dry
grass and woody material and shredding them together, then mix with dirt.
