Re : pond list/Chicago gardens

Hello Mea and Chris,
I came back from Chicago last wenesday and I wanted to thank you for your
help.
We hired a car and visited the botanical garden on the sunday. My husband
was very interested and he enjoyed the visit as much as me . The park is so
well maintained, I wanted to show him the flowering cornus kousa but it was
a bit too early.
On monday we visited 2 nurseries Burpee Gardens in Downers Grove and the
Growing Place in Naperville, i wanted to stop in Morton arboretum but as it
was raining, my husband was not ok to stroll around in the mud ...I suppose
you understand what I mean ... Anyway, it was a miracle that I could take
him during 2 days in parks and nurseries.
I would love to buy more plants and take them home because here the custom
officers are not so difficult but the prices are much higher than in France.
It's a pity for you american people that the plants importation is strictly
forbidden. At least, we can share seeds.
Thank you for your advice again and enjoy your spring gardening.
Chantal,Ermenonville,France, zone 7/8
Summer has come back without spring time I can say it's the first sunny
week-end since last year!
