Hi Mea,
I'm very glad you come and visit france and hope you'll have nice weather.
Sometimes it can be very sunny at that time of the year, but one cannot say
anything about the weather, almost in north of france. It's raining everyday
since a long time, and today we had hailstorm. It's the reason why many
french people would like to move to the south, but there are no jobs down
there.
I'm gonna move to the south, myself, and I don't know when, my house is in a
real estate office to be sold and we're waiting somebody 's buying it before
moving , as we have another one in montpellier to stay in.
So, perhaps I'll be here in september, perhaps not, anyway I 'm running a
plant exchange in a big plant fair next to my home the 5-6-7 october and
I'll have to be present. Shall you be in Paris area by that time. It will be
very interesting for you to see how it works.
You must not miss the 'Festival de Chaumont-sur-Loire' which is open every
year during summer and where many europeans landscape designers create
gardens and where you can have a look of the best new garden ideas. You'll
see the 'murs vegetaux' (verdant walls) of Patrick Blanc, french botanist
and scientist, which is a great idea for small gardens; I'll make one in my
future garden
If you subscribe to the RHS magazine 'The Garden' you can read an article
about his creations in the april issue.
And you must see the 'potager' in chateau de Villandry.
I'll check if I can give you other adresses. Mail me privately to give me
your schedule and your itinerary.
