Vivien, how long have you had your plant? Mine is about 7 or 8 years
old now, and very full -- I seem to recall that it was rangier in its
youth (like a teenager!). I feed it with a variety of composts every
year and give it extra water, since it's against a building foundation.
It's getting so huge I have to trim it back here and there to give other
plants around it some room. Will have to move the other plants soon,
since I hear moving Kiringeshoma might require a backhoe. Mine also
requires some propping, no big deal. In a less crowded bed, I wouldn't
bother. You might try pinching back part of it and see what happens.
If it doesn't work, it certainly won't hurt the plant for future years.
