Re: kirengeshoma palmata

I have grown a Kirengoshoma palmata for a number of years now but
have never deliberately cut it back. I did transplant it six years ago when
we moved and it took a little while to recover. This spring, however, an
early warm spell encouraged it to grow new shoots too soon and there was
frost damage when the temps plummeted a few days later. They seem to have
grown back, so I suspect that it would do so after a pruning.
I haven't had trouble with ranginess, despite the fact that my plant
is in fairly deep shade. I do water it a lot though ... I just put in a
Kirengoshoma koreana (supposedly has upturned and larger yellow bells) in a
spot with higher light.
