Wouldn't that be great, Clair? Allen Lacy took up Mitchell's gauntlet for a
good run in the WSJ (I think it was), but I guess they decided that wasn't
for them any longer either.
My fantasy column would be a regularly published column ( weekly rather than
monthly) with many guest writers. Imagine each week you could be surprised by
both the topic and the writer. Maybe Gene one week, Barry Glick, then Dan
Hinckley, Eck and Winterrowd, Ken Druse, Tony Avent, and an occasional
appearance by Felder Rushing!, and many others I'm just not thinking of at
the moment. There's a lot of talent out there, with no place to publish it.
I'll tell you, the publication that does this has my lifelong loyalty.
