One bushel of mixed daffodils = 400 bulbs, $65 plus shipping. I bought
three mixed bushels the other year and I love what my yard looks like in the
spring. Will probably add another bushel or two this year--funny how you
can find more places for bulbs once you get a lot. (They do sell two named
varieties--one white, one yellow-orange--by the bushel.)
They also sell a bushel of peonies--I think it's 100 plants--for what I
think is $135?? Mix of the four most common plants, but I'm definitely a
volume, rather than specialty, gardener, and the thought of lining my
sidewalk with peonies makes me breathe hard. I'm saving my nickels for a
fall splurge.
