Hmmm, Cheryl, still don't think it's the medium you want for that
task...think wheels would displace it or sink into it.  What you
really want is a brick or flagstone edge or even a 4" concrete block
sunk into the soil so it's just below grass line - something hard
that a wheel won't move.  Even when sawdust firms up sufficient for a
path, as I recall a heavy wheelbarrow had problems and I think,
particularly a riding mower would just sink into it.  

However, you're living close to a gold mine if you have  a sawmill
that near to you.  A pile of sawdust left to sit for a couple of
years until it rots makes the most marvelous soil conditioner,
potting soil additive, etc.  Turns into super humus.  You can hasten
the process by adding a high nitrogen item like bloodmeal.
