Ok a little hosta. I have a few of those. But those big ones- once they
become established they are immortal. I broke a shovel and I am not
particuarly strong trying to dig one out of the garden. Is it true that the
miniatures have poor root systems and do not last if left without a lot of
care? A great many of our hostas are frozen and look droopy and sad. Those
with plantaginea in the hybrid are in the worse state. A double white
flowered one named Aphrodite is missing all top growth, just little brown
wisps. Paul, I like the very small hosta. Some have deep purple flowers.
