I managed to lose this plant this year, after several years of it's
self-seeding to an extent, but never to the point of nuisance. I have the
white-flowered one in a different bed and it lives, but has never seeded.
From the sounds of it, Claire and others, your gravel driveways are better
than my prepared beds.
I found a corydalis lutea and corydalis ochreleuca (yes, I know it is
invasive) this weekend and I have a slight incline to the barn that is not
only covered with gravel, but has soil full of gravel as well. The side is a
stone wall. If these two hardy corydalis don't take there (they've not
survived for me in kinder locations), then I'm giving up on them.
