until I followed the  link Don posted, I didn't know I was growing this.  I
enjoy mine.  I have it in full sun and regular soil (gets the same treatment
as everything else - only gets watered in rain or by hand in drought
conditions)  I am trying to train mine as a standard tree with mixed
success.  But after 5 years, we are able to walk past and under it.  It is
about 7 feet tall now.  What I love most about it though is that It's
branches are red in the winter and when the sun hits it just right, with the
snow behind it - it glows!  Good luck with it!
