Artemisa

Hi everyone:

Boy, I'm sure glad I decided to read all the e-mails and found out that I
had planted Artemisia vulgaris 'Oriental Limelight'. Now I'm going to get
rid of it out of my new bed. Planted it last year - just a wee pot - and
now it has spread rather quickly - what with all the rain we are having.
Lucky I found the tag that came with the pot. Guess I purchased it for it's
lovely variegated leaves. I'll get rid of it before it spreads any further.
Also have a plant with dark purple leaves which I guess the label isn't with
it.
It's seems to be spreading but not as fast as the Artemisa. Don't know what
this is but will check nurseries to see if they have the same plant to find
out the name. This too seems to be spreading. I know I planted some
gooseneck from a friend of mine (who did warn me it could become a pest).
But forgot about it and boy it is a pest.

I'll dig up the artemisa and put it in pots. My large Artemisa - silver -
spreads but it is from seed and I find it everywhere reseeded. This I can
live with. My husband did such a good job on my new bed that I hardly have
any weeds and the perennials have taken off and have double in some cases.

It is overcast and raining softly off and on here this afternoon. Hurt my
back weeding so have been laid up this past week. So am eager to get out
into my beds. Started weeding and even left my weed basket on the path.

Happy gardening
