Jean, do you knwo which bamboo you have? Let me know and I'll look it up. Alternatively, Ted Meredith's bamboo book should be able to help you. I don't see it on my shelf at the moment so I can't give yo uthe exact title but it is written for gardeners in temperate climates and published by Meredith. I am sure your local bookstore will carry it. It is an excellent book!We have a bamboo privacy hedge that we planted about 15 years ago. It is about 15-20 feet tall and is full of long seed spikes this year. It has never bloomed before and I wonder about the "old wives" tale that once it blooms, it dies. Anyone had blooming bamboo before? Jean Crump Zone 7, Eastern Shore of Md.
Best
