Salvia 'Black and Blue' lived over for me in a pot against a protected wall (mild winter too) and actually rooted another plant where it touched the ground. You'll love it -- find it if you can. Lime-ish foliage with nearly black flowers.

Hi everyone:
Question on Salvia. While out yesterday at a local nursery I spotted this
beautiful plant in a large tub planting and thinking that the nursery had
other plants of this salvia I asked the worker and she said it was from
another grower. Can anyone tell me where I could get seed for this salvia
called Black and Blue Salvia. It stated on the tag that the hummingbirds
loved there flowers. It was really striking in the arrangement as the
flowers were carried up very high over all the lower growing foliages.
Anyone have experience with this plant?
Boy, I love rain, but this is getting to be too much here on the Mountain.
My seedlings aren't doing very well with out the sunshine. We are supposed
to have rain until next Friday.
