Kate, I don't think this produces seed. I love the bloom of the Black & Blue
but it blooms so late that I have given up on it. I tried Van Houtti
(burgundy form) which I love. It also does not produce seed. This year I am growing
Van Houtti 'Paul' (deep purple) which I understand does produce seed. These
become like a shrub.
