Hi Kitty,
I grow this plant and it is one of my favorites because of its
restrained habit. However, the individual flowers are so small, that
it's difficult to imagine them entraping anything larger than very
small flies. I honestly have never examined the flowers in great
detail, but I will definitely do so this year.
In addition, I always thought Cruel Plant referred to
Araujia_sericofera and that the insects so entraped were released the
next day. Perhaps someone else can add more information here.
