Re: Cruel Plant

Thanks Don,
it looked so pretty and when I researched it, the few comments I found
indicated that, "To see it its to love it".  I was curious though to find
out why it was call Cruel Plant - a common name listed by RHS - and found
the explanation I mentioned, quoted and attributed to an early edition of
Taylor's.  It is quite possible that several plants will share the same
common name.  The only book I have with me is Botanica and it does show
Araujia sericifera as using that name, but this book doesn't cover Cynanchum
at all.  I'll forward this home and check it against better books and
internet tonight.
