Thanks for looking into it Shiela.  There are 3 genera that use that common
name.  I'll forward your link home and look at it when I get there.  (No
internet here)

I'm wondering if you meant to click on "reply to all" so that the Perennials
list would also get it.  It looks like it only came to me.

            I looked up the plant. It looks like something my friend has
growing in her greenhouse. It came with an orchid or something. She hates it
because it has spread everywhere in her greenouse. If it will kill mosquitoes

            Hers looks like the bottom picture on the link to the pictures. Do
you know how hardy it is? I think I saw zone 5. I have always liked it but
this friend hated it so I've never tried it.
            Another friend gave me 7 different carnivorous plants and I had
bought one already. We have so many mosquitoes. Last weekend we bought a
machine to kill them. I'm hoping it will work. I can already see a
difference.
