Hepatica acutiloba needs lime to grow well.  What grows for me grows for me.  But loved that white bluebell from husband's grandmother's garden.  The blue ones do great but the hard to find ones of course do not.  That is why they are hard to find.  Nancy

Mertensia virginica: I’ve occasionally seen a white variety, but the blue is so much prettier. Is spreading nicely in the woodsy area at the rear of my yard.

Hepatica: Maybe hepatitis?
