Not sure why Kitty but they could have dried out as the leaves take up the water.

I bought three small plants last year hoping at least one, if not all, would thrive. Late winter there were two, but they’d heaved so I gently nudged them back in and protected them w some leaves. Now there’s nothing.  Any tips on this?
