I don't know about Dawn, but Roundup works better in an acid environment so
add a teaspoon or so of vinegar per gallon of water. Unless of course you
have very acidic water. Still couldn't hurt I suppose.
I have never had a problem with Aegopodium. I have had a problem with
Convolvulus arvensis (Field Bindweed), a highly invasive morning glory type
perennial almost impossible to control. It is a real problem in Wheat
fields in this area and the farmers usually just give up on that spot and
farm around it. It takes repeated chemical applications, usually annually
for several years, to eradicate it.
I have applied Roundup in perennial beds with an artists paint brush early
in growth with success. Also have put cloth glove over latex glove and
just dipped finger tip into chemical solution and pinched leaves of
undesirables. Sounds like a lot of work but moving desirables to be able
to treat a bed is alot of work also. And it never fails I always get a
tiny root moved and if I'm not careful the problem has just relocated.

Double the dose of roundup(starting with the regular concentrate), and add
a teaspoon of Dawn dishwashing liquid as a 'sticker'. He said that worked
well on his ivy problems. Will let you know how it turns out...
