Hi,
The advantages of alfalfa tea
are:
more easily assimilated by the plant and reaches the root zone more quickly.
easier to apply, just pour it on.
easy to include other additives that also become part of the liquid.
The disadvantages include:
a smell (fermenting) that some people find offensive.
takes several weeks to brew up a batch.
the tea is pretty ugly when it dries around the plant.
more difficult to handle in bulk. The barrel weighs a lot.
I am sort of undecided if I will do it again this year. Working pellets into the ground around the base of the plants isn't very hard to do.
