Hi there - I don't have any answers and a shortage of info - but you sound desperate so some here are some suggestions/possibilities
Oriental poppies like well drained soil - are they too wet and rotting at the root?
Do they have a virus? distorted foliage, mottled leaves and poor growth are common signs of this
Have you recently planted them - in which case they maybe don't like your cool conditions and will need to adjust. They die right back after flowering anyway (usually in early July here in North Wales) maybe they have been encouraged into doing it early?
More information about your problem might help someone solve it - what do they look like right now etc. so post some more details (sorry if you already did and I missed the post)
