Dames Rocket can be very aggressive if it likes its location and it seeds
pretty freely too. I have seen marshy areas where there's not room for
anything else to grow. If you can control it though, it is pretty--like a
tall phlox. I think there's a white one available too--probably a sport.
They are in bloom in SW Ohio, cincinnati area, right now and you can see them
along the road in some locations. I had a single plant in my front bed and
had to remove it after one year because it was crowding out everything else
(just this one plant). So I put it down in back near an area that has a creek
when conditions are wet. It didn't make the transplant, but one plant came up
from some of the seed I tossed around and is blooming now. So, the moral of
the story is that it may be hard to transplant, so put it where you want it to
be for a long time and keep in mind that it can be a bit of a thug. After
blooming, it is a rough-looking, not-so-attractive plant (to my eye anyway).
