Dear Pat,

Hespeis matronalis is a self-seeding biennial. If you like it, enjoy it,
and forget what anyone else says. They are lovely and fragrant, and are not
at all "weedy", at least in my experience. The seedlings are easy to pull
up, but I never bother.
