Thanks for all the excellent tips. I printed them so I'll have them for
next spring's peonies. I also have a question about my climbing rose bush.
There's one strong cane coming up the middle with stems off of it with no
buds, yet at the top of this cane are blooms. It almost looks like it's gone
wild. Should I remove these budless stems since it's a little scraggly &
distracting, or will they eventually bloom.
I've only been gardening for 1 year so I hope you don't mind the endless
questions. I bought a house last year with established flower beds that are
beautiful. I have things I'm not even sure what they are. Gardening has become
a true passion for me. It's so good for the soul. This coming from someone who
used to get weekly manicures, now I don't even have nails.
