Re: perennials DIGEST V2 #396

In a message dated 98-05-21 00:02:56 EDT, you write:

<< I've consulted my old (4th ed.) Taylor's Encyclopedia of Gardening about
the tree peony, P. suffruticosa, and it says that they are hardy to
zone 4, and favorable places to zone 3, but I see the zone map they use
places me in zone 2. Question for the list: how far north have you
 grown these? >>

I'm interested in the opposite direction. How far south can they be grown. I
just Martha Stewart making flower arrangement out of them and I'm dying to try
some except I haven't seen any at the local nurseries.
