I had a very similar problem, but there were white "fuzzies" on the
underside of the leaves.  Other colors were not affected, nor were all the
white ones, just those growing next to each other.  I did nothing at first,
because I couldn't tell what color they were going to be.  I cut them back,
and because there are such big holes in the border now, I think I will dig
them up and move them.  Any idea what the "white fuzzies" are?  How else
could they be treated?

This all seemed to happen almost overnight.  One day they were fine, the
next is history.
