What wonderful comments about plants. I love the things that I have
gotten from my mothers yard. They remind me of my heritage and I feel
more a part of it. In every place that we have lived I have put a few
things from my mothers home in Climax, Michigan. These plants do mean
more to me than anything that I can buy, and they are just plain old
plants to other people.
I have Golden Glow that my mother grows in her ditch, I have her iris,
peonies, daylilies, sedum, liliacs, daffodils, and lily of the valley
just to name a few. When we have moved I have tried to take them with
me but sometimes it isn't possible, so I start all over again and that
is the fun of gardening.
