Hi, Ginny,
Variegated Rue shows more variegation in cooler weather -- When propagating, be
aware that some people get as bad a rash from an allergy/irritation from Ruta as
from Poion Ivy. Take cuttings that are ready -- they will just snap off when
bent-- about 2-3" long, or heel cuttings ( growth coming from the sides of older
stems)-- remove all loser leaves, place in moist soil or in a rooting (mist
Chamber)-- And yes, the vairgation will come true
