I have had similar experiences, but took the extra step to have my money
returned by Spring Hill for things that died or never came back. I once
ordered one of their Phlox collections (something like a dozen different
types) and not one came up . . they promptly returned my money the
following spring when I told them I was unhappy with their quality.

If you approach them calmly and factually, they seem happy to make good
on their promise. (I'm NOT implying that you would approach them
otherwise, I am just stating what I did.)

Just my 2 cents - YMMV
