Explanation of Cambridge Edge


As I understand it, you go straight down about 6"  along the grass line
between the grass and the perennial bed.  There is then a gentle curve up to
the perennial bed.  Supposedly the grass will not jump the empty space to
spread into the perennial bed.  Slowly but surely the grass was encroaching
into my beds - I found some ginger about 2" in the grass.
