Chickweed in the compost pile

I wouldn't add chickweed to my compost pile because the pile is not
scientifically built, doesn't heat up enough to kill seeds, etc. Chickweed
spreads itself rampantly enough without my adding it to the compost so I can
spread it on all my beds. Especially if, as one poster said, it begins to
drop seed as soon as the flowers appear. But if your compost pile is hot
enough to kill seeds, then maybe it's OK. I also don't put creeping Charlie
in my compost because I don't want it to think it's died and gone to heaven.
Neither of these pesky plants needs my additional help to spread.
