Ditto. For some strange, unimaginable reason (well, yes I can but its still
Unforgivable!), when they built my house and dug the basement, they spread
all that clay dirt all over the yard. Yuckk! And then they didn't get the
basement walls square so you know what they did with that, don't you??
We tried adding sand as a cheap amendment to a small area. Didn't
turn to cement (clay already has that attribute at the right times). So now
all I have there is sandy soil. I think my main objection to sand is that it
doesn't add any nutrients to the soil. IMHO and from my own experience, add
gypsum and ANY organic matter you can find!!!
