Tuberoses' water needs

I posed a question to this list several days ago and have gotten no
response so will ask once more. I potted my tuberoses in a clay pot,
started them inside, and recently put them outside in a very sunny
location. I'm wondering how often I should water. Since they are in a
clay pot, the soil will dry out quickly. Since they are natives of Mexico,
I am guessing they like it dry. So, should I let the dirt go completely
dry before watering? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
