No, they can't take anything below 32F/0C.  I take my potted plants into
the basement for the winter.  No extra light, and only an occasional
watering to prevent the stem from shriveling, they will go almost
completely dormant, losing all leaves except at the very tip.  I do not cut
mine back except to shape.
