Re: brugmansia/Gasoline in soil

Nan  - please don't yell at me for this question....I'm just asking for 
educational purposes....mine.

Can you burn the gas in the soil?  I remember as a kid my dad use to put gas 
on fire ant hills and burn them.  Will this get rid of any of the bad parts 
left in the soil?

I know it sounds awful what the "other half" did....in his defense, he was 
probably just trying to help.  Sometimes our  other half's try to be helpful 
but they don't always think first.  I know my husband has done some 
'not-so-great' things just to be helpful.  

Now he will know and I am sure he will never do that again.
